We have now officially launched our new Ale, specially brewed by Keltek Brewery in Redruth.
The Ale is an IPA and is 5.1%
We have had fantastic feedback of the taste from various people.

Fun Dog Show and Craft Fair

The time has come again for our annual dog show, albeit slightly later this year due to venue difficulties.

It is with great pleasure that we will be working alongside Griggs Country Store, Lower Sticker. The Dog Show will take place on Saturday 29th September in conjunction with their annual open day.

The dog show will be starting at 1pm. There will be lots to do for all the family, we will have a BBQ, a tombola, and we have craft tables with local crafters selling their wonderful products, from handmade jewellery to homemade chutneys.

Please come and join in the fun and you never know your pooch may walk away with a Rosette, or even better a trophy for Best in Show.

Signed Guitar by James Morrison For Sale

We have an amazing auction listed on eBay, which has already seen over 300 page views, and it hasn’t been on there for 24 hours yet.

The guitar belongs to Nikki, the Trust Manager/Co-Founder, and James kindly signed it on Monday (17th September) for us to sell it on eBay to raise funds for the charity.

Lowen Ward Opening With James Morrison

Well Yesterday (17th September 2012) was such an amazing day for TCT. We were lucky enough to have a visit from our Patron James Morrison.

He kindly came and opened the room that we have decorated and equipped on the newly refurbished Lowen Ward in The Royal Cornwall Hospital.

After cutting the ribbon to the room and mingling with the staff and patients, James was whisked away to the Premier Inn at Carnon Downs for a private intimate afternoon with the beneficiaries of The Tanya’s Courage Trust.

They sat in a circle whilst James performed a few songs on the guitar that he has donated to the charity to keep in the room for the young people to strum away with whilst receiving treatment.

It really was a very special, happy day for all of those involved in TCT from beneficiaries up to the volunteers who work very hard for the charity.

We would like to say a huge thank you to James and his lovely Mum for coming and spending the day with us, it was was a very special occasion.

Re-Vamp of Lowen Ward

Lowen Ward is currently undering a refurbishment, and we have been invited by the hospital to equip and decorate one of the side rooms. This is an honour for us, as Tanya was treated on this ward so it seems quite fitting for us to be involved in the refurbishment.

We will be equipping the room with entertainment goodies including XBox, PS3, and iPad, Flat Screen TV, a fridge stocked with lots of drinks and yummy snacks and much much more.

The room will also be decorated in the theme of our website with vinyl wall stickers, this will bring a bit of colour to the room, and make it a bit more cheerful and pleasant for the patient using the room.

The official opening of the ward will be held on Monday 3rd of September, where our beneficiaries will be invited to see the new room for the first time.

Live Music on the Quay

On Friday 27th July there will a fantastic line up of Live usic on Lemon Quay in Truro. We have a fab line up of local musicians and entertainment or you to enjoy throught the day. The weather is set to be another hot day, so why not come on down and enjoy the sun whilst being entertained by our local talented bands.

Mother and Baby Fair

Baby Fair Poster

On Saturday 28th July we will be holding our first ever Mother and Baby Fair, in the empty unit next to/underneath T K Max in White River Place, StAustell. There will be lots of businesses exhibiting their services to Mums to be and Mums (and Dads of course).

There will also be a craft table for the kiddies to stay at whilst Parents look around the exhibition, so no need to worry about keeping litte ones occupied, the craft table will be 50p per child, they will be making things and colouring in etc.

The exhibition opens at 10am until 4pm and all we are asking is for a donation on the door.

There will be a raffle with some amazing prizes to be won, all yet to be confirmed, but so far we have a £50 voucher from Truro Baby Skan Studio, A stroller from Millie Tots, Chidrens Books from Chloe’s Books, a Gro Bag donated by The Gro Company, A Beautiful Playmat donated by East Coast Nursery and much much more to be confirmed.

We still have spaces available for businesses, if you know of anyone please tell them to contact Nikki on 01726 65364, the prices for a table are very affordable starting at only £30.00.

This is going to be such a great day, so we look forward to seeing you there

Announcing our New Patron

We are so proud to announce that our new Celebrity Patron is James Morrison.

Following his concert to raise funds for us he kindly agreed to become our Patron. This is such great news for us as this means that our work is being recognised.

We are so grateful to James for agreeing to this.
